INTO THE GREEN SILENCE

MANGROVE FOREST

Just a short boat ride from Coral Eye, the northern tip of Bangka Island reveals a quiet and fascinating landscape: its coastal mangrove forest. Here, tangled roots rise from the water and the calm water reflects the shifting light between the branches.

Mangroves are not just scenic, they’re vital. These coastal forests stabilize the shoreline, filter runoff, and serve as nurseries for countless marine species. Paddling through them offers a close, peaceful look at a thriving but often overlooked part of the island’s biodiversity.

Mangrove Kayak Tour

The tour takes approximately 3 hours and is scheduled according to tides and current conditions.

It begins with a 20-minute boat ride along the shoreline. Once we reach the mangrove channel, you’ll receive a short safety and paddling briefing while the kayaks and paddleboards are prepared. You’ll then paddle at a relaxed pace through the mangrove forest and end with a short open-water paddle, with Talise Island on the horizon.

No previous kayaking or paddleboarding experience is required. The pace is easy, and the entire route is guided.
